Among cities in the greater Puget Sound area, Woodinville stands out as an attractive place to call home for many reasons. For starters, it offers a beautiful setting among tall evergreen trees. It is also a nice location, as it balanced access to big cities with a quieter, small-town feel. There are plenty of excellent neighborhoods to consider when trying to find a home in Woodinville, and Cottage Lake is among the best.
As you get to know the market in Cottage Lake, you are going to find that the options are primarily single-family homes. There are modest ramblers to be seen here, coming in under 2,000 square feet in many cases. Also, you will see some larger homes, offering multiple levels and more space. Many of the homes were constructed in the 1970s, so the style that you see from the street will reflect that era. However, when you step inside some of the properties, you’ll see that updated interiors are relatively common.
One of the biggest selling points for Cottage Lake as a neighborhood is the location. Taking Woodinville-Duvall Road just a few miles to the west will put you right in the heart of Woodinville. You can drive south a short distance to arrive at Bear Creek Country Club, or head east to reach the town of Duvall. Not only is there a lot to do when you live in Cottage Lake, but none of those things are very far away.
Of course, when talking about things to do, it would be a mistake to overlook the park which shares its name with the community. Cottage Lake Park provides the opportunity to fish, boat, enjoy walking trails, and more. There are even free concerts in the park during the summer months. If you love to spend time outside and would like to have access to such a nice park so close to home, you’ll have yet another reason to consider properties in this area.
In terms of a commute, there are plenty of options from this part of Woodinville. Obviously, those who work in and around Woodinville will find this location to be perfect, but even those working farther down into the Eastside will still be in a good spot. Avondale Road can be taken down into Redmond, and it isn’t much farther from there to find yourself in Bellevue. Everyone has their own idea of what a reasonable commute looks like, but plenty of people who work on the eastside will see Cottage Lake as a nice home base for their day to day life.
It's hard to imagine being disappointed if you wind up purchasing a property in Woodinville. With so much to do within close proximity, and such a peaceful setting to enjoy on a daily basis, it’s not a surprise that properties here are so popular. Good luck!
