For those looking for a golf course neighborhood that highlights much of what is great about the northwest, Bear Creek is an appealing choice. For starters, there is the championship-style golf course, one which is capable of challenging players of all skill levels. In addition, the beautiful setting of the course and the surrounding neighborhood offers the classic Pacific Northwest feel that so many people desire. Whether you are an avid golfer or just like the idea of living near the open space that a course provides, Bear Creek is one to keep high on your list.
The first thing you are going to notice about the properties in the Bear Creek neighborhood is the fact that most of them are valued in seven figures. That’s partially a function of the general real estate market in this region, of course, but it also speaks to the kinds of properties you’ll find here. These tend to be large houses, often in excess of 3,000 or even 4,000 square feet. Many were built in the late-1980s, and most have what would be considered a traditional NW look.
One of the variables to think about as you browse properties within Bear Creek is what kind of golf course view you would like to enjoy – if that is something that is high on your priority list. Of course, if you aren’t particularly worried about having a great look at the course, you may be able to find a property which is priced slightly lower than some of the others in the community. It does need to be said that you won’t be able to be too picky if you are set on living in Bear Creek, as only a handful of homes are likely to be found on the market at any one time.
Looking at the bigger picture outside of this community, the location provides another big selling point. It’s a short drive down to Redmond from Bear Creek, and you can also head over into Woodinville in just a matter of minutes. For the active golfer, there are other courses in the area to explore, such as Trilogy at Redmond Ridge, Willows Run, and others. Marymoor Park, on the north end of Lake Sammamish, is a popular spot for outdoor activity, as is the lake itself. One of the great things about living in the Puget Sound area is the many outdoor recreation opportunities, and those are certainly within reach for the residents of Bear Creek.
If the properties in the Bear Creek neighborhood fall in your price range, it would certainly be worth your time to look further into calling this area home. There is limited inventory to be had at any one time in a community of this size, so acting quickly is often required. By teaming up with an agent who knows this area and understands the market, you might be able to gain a much-needed edge on the competition. Congratulations will be in order if you do land one of the homes in this desirable neighborhood.
