The neighborhood of Hillwood is located in North Shoreline, west of Aurora Avenue (Highway 99) between 244th St., Southwest, NW. Richmond Beach Rd. and 8th Ave., Northwest. It's home to a few schools, parks, the Richmond Village shopping center and residential neighborhoods.
The population is about 5000 with the average age of 50 years old. 74% of residents are homeowners and residents love Hillwood because of the walk ability, peaceful neighborhoods, dog friendly atmospheres, lots of trees and primarily safe atmosphere. There are plenty of natural open space, greenery and nearby parks and recreational areas such as Hillwood Park. This Park features a soccer field, baseball and softball fields, children's play area and green space. Hillwood is also right across Highway 99 from Echo Lake Park along Echo Lake with walking trails and green space. Along Highway 99 is several shops, restaurants and large shopping centers such as Cosco, Home Depot, OfficeMax, Burlington Coat Factory and several restaurants. There are apartments, a few condominiums and schools. Schools in Hillwood include Kings elementary school and Einstein middle school, which is right next to Hillwood Park.
Property in Hillwood is affordable and most homes were built in the 1970s to 1990s. There are a few new home subdivisions that have been divided from larger lots of older homes. Sizes range from about 900 ft.² to 7000 ft.² for most single-family properties. The average home is about 1500 ft.² and at any given time there are between 3 to 10 properties for sale.
