Briarcrest is a community in East Shoreline just north of Highway 523 south of Hamlin Park from Bothell Way, Northeast to 15th Ave., Northeast. It's primarily a residential neighborhood with the Kellogg middle school and the Briarcrest elementary school as well as several parks and the Hamlin Park.
Although Briarcrest has these distinct borders it really stretches all the way to Interstate 5 south of the Ridgecrest neighborhood and into the north end of Lake Washington by Sheridan Beach. In the center of this community is the Fircrest Residential Habitation Center. It was established in 1959 as a naval hospital and later a tuberculosis sanitarium. Today, it's supporting about 200 residents with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. The Fircrest school offers excellent access to major medical and educational facilities that support the individuals living at Fircrest.
Briarcrest real estate and homes for sale stretch to the south, east, west and north of Hamlin Park throughout the area of home prices from $200,000-$450,000 on average. These homes were built in the 1970s to 1990s and feature a wide range of one and two-story layouts from 1500 ft.² to about 3000 ft.² on average.
Homes along Bothell Way, Northeast may offer peekaboo views of the north end of Lake Washington. There are several properties and avenues along the lake such as Edgewater Lane and Beach Drive that feature lakefront property with docks and boat capabilities.
