Wallingford is located North Seattle just north of Lake Union and south of Green Lake between Magnolia and University Village. It's a small community on the west side of Interstate 5 bordering the Woodland Park and Woodland Park zoo between stone way and the freeway. It is primarily a residential neighborhood with the Gas Works Park nestled at the southern tip on the shores of Lake Union.
There are several parks within Wallingford including the meridian playground and the Wallingford playground, shops, restaurants, markets, townhouses, historical buildings and lofts.
Wallingford makes a great location for anyone that commutes to downtown Seattle as it's just a quick jaunt on several of the bridges that head south or on Interstate 5. It's close to the freeway, outdoor entertainment because Green Lake is close by and has some trendy hotspots, funky shops and urban coffee houses. At any given time there are between 10 and 20 properties for sale in the small community of Wallingford. These are usually priced from about $200,000-$1 million. Townhomes and lofts range from $250,000 to about $650,000 with single-family homes starting at around $800,000. Larger homes or remodels historical properties of over 2000 ft.² can easily sell for over $1 million.
