Queen Anne Real Estate

Queen Anne Luxury HomeAround 28,000 people call the Seattle neighborhood of Queen Anne home, and there are plenty of reasons for prospective real estate buyers to consider joining them. Queen Anne is located to the west of Lake Union, and it rises up to 456 feet above sea level – making it a prominent figure that can be seen from many locations around the city. From Queen Anne, it is a short drive back south toward Downtown, or east to I-5 and the University of Washington.

Homes for sale in this neighborhood are generally in line with the average prices for the rest of the city. Median prices come in at slightly below $500,000, however it is common to find listings for upward of $750,000 or more as well. Single family homes and condos are the prevailing type of housing that is available on Queen Anne.

The weekly farmers’ market, which is held throughout the summer, is one of the most notable events to take place within Queen Anne on a regular basis. There are also a great collection of parks throughout the neighborhood, including Kerry Park which is well-known for the view that it offers looking back toward Downtown Seattle. The private Seattle Pacific University is also found within Queen Anne on the north slope of the hill.

Queen Anne has long been one of the most popular neighborhoods within Seattle, and that doesn’t seem likely to change anytime soon. Prospective buyers would be wise to keep a close eye on the MLS listings within the neighborhood as the inventory within a given price range can be limited. While it might take some time to find exactly the right piece of Queen Anne real estate to purchase, that wait will be worth it for those who dream of experiencing classic Seattle living.
