Broadview Real Estate

Broadview Real EstateAs the name would indicate, the Broadview neighborhood of Seattle offers up some of the most incredible views in the region – looking west across Puget Sound to the beautiful Olympic Mountains. This neighborhood is found in the northwest corner of the city, and close to the adjacent city of Shoreline. In contrast to Seattle neighborhoods which are closer to Downtown, Broadview is a rather suburban setting which houses somewhere around 13,000 residents.

Broadview is a rather expensive real estate market, with the average listing coming in north of $500,000. Although the average remains in that half million range, there are plenty of listings that come in far beyond that number. Homes for sale in the MLS listings often fetch prices of $2 million and more. There are many large and well-appointed homes in this neighborhood, but buyers will need to be prepared to pay a handsome sum in order to land a piece of this real estate for their own.

Although this is mostly a residential community, Carkeek Park is one notable attraction contained in the neighborhood. Play areas and hiking trails are offered at the park, in addition to a pedestrian bridge over the railroad tracks which provides access to the beach on the shores of Puget Sound. Another attraction for buyers looking in this neighborhood is simply the convenience of the location. Despite the quiet, suburban feel that it offers, Broadview is only a short drive from I-5 and only about a 20 minute drive total back to Downtown Seattle. Commuting to and from the city allows residents to enjoy a relatively short drive each day while still being able to live in a peaceful community away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown.

Home buyers whose budget matches the listing in the Broadview neighborhood will want to be sure to give it careful consideration. The small size of the neighborhood means that homes don’t come onto the market too frequently, and can command a big price tag when they do. Watching the MLS listings and working with a good agent is key to landing the dream property within Broadview.
