One of the highest priced neighborhoods in Seattle, Broadmoor is located just across the water from the University of Washington. This gated community includes the beautiful Broadmoor Golf Club, and offers residents great access to not only the University across the Montlake Cut, but also back to Downtown Seattle itself. For buyers who have the budget to afford properties in this exclusive community, the level of luxury right within the city itself is hard to find.
With luxury comes a price, however, and that price can be quite steep when shopping homes for sale within Broadmoor. The median home listing is above $2 million in this neighborhood, and many of the homes are valued at significantly more than that. As is the case with any small, gated community, inventory is the real challenge for any buyer thinking of joining this exclusive neighborhood. At any given time, there is likely to only be a few homes for sale within the community, meaning that buyers have to act quickly and be ready to buy when the opportunity arises.
As this is a gated community, it is exclusively residential in addition to the private Broadmoor Golf Club that surrounds the neighborhood. Outside of the neighborhood, however, there is great access to many of the great things that Seattle has to offer. Lake Washington is adjacent to Broadmoor, and the 520 bridge provides access to the Eastside. Taking 520 west toward the city will bring residents quickly to I-5 on which they can go south to Downtown or north toward the University District, Green Lake, and more.
The opportunity to live within the Broadmoor community is limited to be sure, but those who are able to secure a property within this coveted neighborhood often stay for many years. Buyers with the budget and desire to land a home in Broadmoor will want to watch the MLS listings and wait until the right home comes onto the market.
