The Broadmoor community of Seattle is one of the most-exclusive places to live in the entire Puget Sound region. This is a gated community that is surrounded by the golf course of the same name (a private club). There are only a total of 85 acres dedicated to residential properties within Broadmoor, meaning it is extremely difficult to find a home of your own in this area. When the opportunity does come along, you will need to act quickly and decisively if you hope to call Broadmoor home.
So what it is about this neighborhood that is so desirable? Well, it starts with location. For access to points in and around the city, it is hard to do much better than Broadmoor. There is quick access to both 520 and I-5, and the community is only a short drive from the University of Washington. Those who work in downtown Seattle will have a short commute as well, and the sport stadiums in SODO are easily within reach as well.
In addition to the access to everything Seattle has to offer, there is also the security of living in a high-end, gated community. Of course, that exclusivity comes with a price, as homes in Broadmoor generally sell for at least $2 - $3 million, and often more. The homes that stand inside of this community are often traditional and historical in nature, with many stories to tell from their several decades of existence. A buyer who is drawn to traditional architecture and stunning luxury homes will likely find a lot to like within Broadmoor.
It isn’t a hard sell to become convinced that Broadmoor would be a great place to live – but that doesn’t make the challenge of finding an available home any less demanding. You will want to watch the market carefully if you are interested in this community, and don’t hesitate to take action when a property does come up for sale. While it might take patience, the quiet and convenient life that awaits inside the Broadmoor gates is worth the effort.
