Luxury is all relative, right? Well, it depends on what you consider luxury. It’s not necessarily about the price but about the relativity of the location. $1 million in San Diego is not going to buy nearly as much is $1 million in downtown Seattle. Even though prices are going up throughout the Puget Sound region, in downtown Seattle, $1 million can buy some pretty nice digs. And the options are endless. Perhaps you’re looking for remodeled and renovated historical property such as those down on Spring Street or Second Avenue; perhaps of the Penthouse at Market Place Tower situated high on Queen Anne Hill overlooking the entire Bay Area prices over $9 million featuring over 4500 ft.² of living space in a huge terrace to drink in the gorgeous Puget Sound view.

Most of the luxury condos priced over $1 million between Cherry Street and Wall Street, west of Interstate 5. North of Highway 99 are a few buildings along First Avenue the boasts stunning views of the space needle and Seattle Center. These would be in the Belltown neighborhood is a good combination of properties that were built within the last 30 years and new construction coming up.

Luxury buildings with condos priced over $1 million include Christalla, Seaboard, Bay Vista, Escala, Luma, 5th & Madison, North Pointe, Nexus, Regatta, First Hill Plaza, and Concord. These buildings include a variety of amenities such as swimming pools, spas, guest the services, concierge and valet services, secure parking, fitness centers, and more. They are typically situated close to shops, restaurants, cafés or bistros and downtown entertainment. Most also offer great transit scores and bike scores depending on the topography of the location.

Each complex has their own condo association rules and bylaws. These fees range from about $800 per month to over $4000 per month and cover common area maintenance, building and landscaping maintenance, limited building insurance and may cover several utilities. Some buildings require an application fee prior to moving in.
