Mountlake Terrace Homes

The city of Mountlake Terrace is found at the southern edge of Snohomish County, only a short drive north along I-5 from Seattle. Right around 20,000 people call this city home, and while plenty of them are commuters who work in the big city, there are also some employment opportunities right within the city. Most of Mountlake Terrace is to the east of I-5, however a small part of the city is also found to the west of the freeway.

For real estate buyers who have been shopping the real estate listings in some King County cities, the prices in Mountlake Terrace are likely to look like something of a relief. The median home value in the area is below $300,000, which is considerably lower than what is found in nearby Shoreline – which happens to be in King County. Of course, even among that lower average are plenty of homes in the $400,000 and $500,000 price range, so Mountlake Terrace can cater to the budgets of a variety of different buyers.

Among the top attractions to this suburban city is the Lake Ballinger Park in the southwest corner of the city limits. The park provides access to Lake Ballinger, which offers both boating and fishing opportunities. Terrace Creek Park and the Evergreen Playfield Complex are other notable open spaces within the city for residents to enjoy.

Mountlake Terrace is positioned perfectly as a bedroom community for those who work in or around Seattle but would like some price relief from real estate costs closer to the city. Even though Mountlake Terrace is a relatively small city, there are generally enough homes for sale to provide prospective buyers will plenty of choices as they complete their real estate shopping process.
